Clinic Cost: $175 (includes lunch and haul-in fee)

  • 45-minute rides

  • Freestyle or lesson (riders choice)

  • 8-9 riders per day

Each rider will have a private under saddle lesson or Melissa can help choreograph a freestyle or critique an already prepared freestyle.

About Freestyles:

The dressage musical freestyle is one of the most exciting parts of dressage.

Freestyles are an increasingly important part of competitive dressage and are offered through USDF for all levels training and up.

Because of the skill required to ride to and stay with the music, a higher degree of proficiency is required in musical freestyles than for the highest test of the level. Riders who are proficient at the chosen level of competition can choose to show off their skills by entering a Musical Freestyle. The addition of music can be an inspiration to the rider and audience alike, not to mention that it gives us a creative outlet and another way to explore the sport we love.

Prior to the clinic, riders should familiarize themselves with the required movements at their chosen level. Riders should also bring 2 choices of music they like that is suitable to their horses tempo.

The below link provides all freestyle tests.
