About Mike:
Mike Osinski is the third American dressage judge with FEI 5*/Level 4 status. He has been a national dressage judge since 1984 with USEF Senior, Young Horse, Equitation, and Freestyle designations.
Over the years he has worked with Maryal Barnett and Hilda Gurney, and studied with Steffen Peters, Carol Lavell and Paul Belasik. A USEF “S” judge, he has been a national judge since 1984 and advanced steadily through FEI levels, earning his three-star status in 2014, four-star in 2016 and five-star in 2023.
Beyond judging, Osinski has remained professionally active across several facets of the sport. He has taught a USEF “R” Dressage Judge Training Program, served as a United States Pony Club examiner, was a guest speaker at the USEF Young Dressage Horse National Championships, and has long combined his own competition riding with teaching clinics, judging, and a breeding program.
In recent seasons, he has officiated at major international competitions on both sides of the Atlantic, with five-star judging appointments at the U.S. Equestrian Open of Dressage Final (California), as well as Aachen, Germany; Compiègne and Fontainebleau, France; and Wellington, Florida, last year.
