Introducing a NEW DRESSAGE SHOW ON THE WEST COAST!
This year our Open Show “Foothills Fall Classic” will be in conjunction with the National Dressage Pony and Small Horse Championship Show.
This event will take place on October 16th - 17th 2021 at the very popular venue, Starr Vaughn Equestrian Center in Elk Grove, California.
The judges will be Lilo Fore (S) and Anne Abbleby (S).
Traditionally, the National Dressage Pony and Small horse Championship has been held annually on the East Coast. This year alone, the East Coast show had over 870 rides making participation unprecedented. We hope the West Coast edition will grow even larger!
No pre-qualification scores are required and the show will award ponies, small horses (less than 16 hands), and the open show welcomes regular sized horses as well. This show will help grow the sport amongst those of us who have smaller dressage mounts including Ponies, Spanish horses, Arabians, Morgans and many others.
We hope that you will join us in making this event a success! Remember the Open show welcomes horses of all sizes so BRING THE WHOLE BARN!
Several breed awards have been sponsored and the Pony and Small Horse Championship has MANY perpetual trophies to award.
TRAINERS
**Trainers will receive a free glass of wine with their dinner and will be entered into a drawing for a free class entry (10 names drawn!)
There will be a large raffle. The entire show has a festival-like feel.
Complimentary dinner on Saturday with live music while we enjoy vaulting and trick riding demos!
